We made lots of sketches about direction and contrast. We couldn’t find a good composition, but we made lots of discussion to find the best one.
We were at studio for all day long. Firstly, we made lots sketches. It was the longest process of the day.
We showed each other sketches we made, after lots of discussions we combined our ideas. And we like the idea of picture above. Squares and circles were the geometric shapes we used. We sketched two different final sketch to decide on the colors. Should the square or the circle be yellow?
We made an example of the real assignment while using green geometric shapes. It helped lot to see the real one before starting it. This process was fun because we like the our composition lot.
We cut lots of squares, because their numbers weren’t decided on. I am still keeping the squares that we didn’t use.
Firstly, we put our shapes to see how they will look on paper. It was really helpful to do that before sticking them. We used copy paper to copy our curves on the previous paper. And finally we sticked our geometric shapes carefully. The little squares were the most diffucult process of it.
We put our assignment on the wall. Sena Çoban had the idea of using the biggest circle to write our names, and to decorate it with squares. It was a really cute idea. We were satisfied with our assignment at the end of the day. I am thankful to all my teammates.…
…As a group, we try to explain contrast and transparency.
